    • Include sub-folder

  4. Click Go To Reference Documents.

  5. Select Add and choose your Bild top-level directory.

  6. Click OK to save your settings.

To connect your Toolbox and Design Library to Bild:

  1. Open System Options in SolidWorks and select File Locations in the left panel.

  2. In the Show Folders For drop-down, select Design Library.

  3. Click the Add button on the right side.

  4. Locate your Design Library folder within your Bild repository and add it.

  5. Click OK to save changes.

πŸ’‘ Bild Tip: You can remove the default SolidWorks Design Library by selecting it and clicking Delete, ensuring you only use one Design Library folder.

Allowing Component File Renaming from the Feature Manager

To rename files directly from the Feature Manager and prevent unnecessary assembly rebuilds:

  1. Open System Options in SolidWorks and go to Feature Manager in the left panel.

  2. Check the box for Allow component files to be renamed from Feature Manager tree.

  3. Click OK to apply the setting.

By following these steps, SolidWorks will correctly reference files within Bild, maintaining file integrity and streamlining your design workflow.
