As we wrap up the year, our December release focuses on improving configuration awareness, strengthening integrations, and giving teams more control over how part numbers, BOMs, and workflows are managed across Bild.

Updates
Displayed Config
You can now clearly see which configuration is currently displayed throughout the platform, removing ambiguity and helping ensure you’re always reviewing and releasing the correct data. These settings can be updated in the datacard of your file.
BOM Templates
You can now define and reuse custom BOM templates, including sort direction, default fields, column headings, and frozen columns — making BOM reviews faster and more consistent across teams. Use these when creating a new BOM or when adding a new view to a BOM. Manage your BOM templates in your account level settings under Templates and then BOM.
Custom Part Number Generation Builder
You can now build your own part number generation rules, allowing your team to define formats, prefixes, and sequencing logic that match your internal standards. If you are interested in learning more about this feature please reach out to your account team.
Config Selector When Syncing BOMs to Vault
When syncing a BOM to Vault, you can now select the exact configuration you want to push — eliminating mismatches and improving downstream accuracy. When in edit mode of your BOM right click and select sync to vault to select which configuration you would like to sync the BOM value to in your vault.
