January’s updates focus on giving teams more control, cleaner navigation, and stronger integration workflows. From new workspace-level permissions to expanded integration capabilities and UI refinements, these improvements are designed to make everyday work in Bild more efficient and predictable.

Updates
Workspace View and Creation Controls
You can now configure a setting that determines who is allowed to create workspaces. This gives admins greater control over workspace creation while ensuring environments are created intentionally and consistently.
Navigate to your account level settings in the top right corner of your Bild. Select General from the menu on the left. Use the drop down to select what user type can create workspaces. Admins and Members, Admins only or select custom to customize who can create workspaces. Select update to save your changes.
Filter Features
You can now save frequently used filters as favorites, making it easy to return to important views without rebuilding filters each time.
We’ve also made improvements to deleting and closing filters, so managing saved and active filters is now clearer and more intuitive. Just select the 'X' to remove your added filter.
Expanded ECO Dialog
The ECO dialog is now larger, giving you more space to review details, approvals, and impacted files - making it easier to take action without constant scrolling.
File Type Column in Workspace Table Views
You can now see File Type directly in table views, making it easier to distinguish between parts, drawings, and other file types at a glance - especially useful when reviewing large datasets or preparing ECOs.
Add the file type column to your table through the following steps. Navigate to your account level settings in the top right corner of Bild. Select Table Columns from the menu on the left. Scroll to file type in the list of options. If this is a hidden column select the grey eye to enable this column. Use the dots to move your column to your preferred spot in the column list.
Improvements
Resolved an issue where users with custom roles were not appearing in the Create Approval dialog in the desktop app
Added Download PDF and Print buttons for DFTs to make sharing and reviewing documentation easier
Integration Improvements
You can now create changes in Arena and Propel directly from Bild, reducing context switching
Design files now sync automatically to Arena and Propel upon release, ensuring downstream systems stay aligned
Added a setting to remove items from changes in integrations when unlinking, giving you more control over change cleanup
You can now edit metadata in Bild when creating items in NetSuite, improving data accuracy at creation time
Unit types can now be mapped from NetSuite to Bild fields for better ERP alignment
Integration category names now support commas and additional special characters, allowing greater flexibility and consistency
You can now edit quantities for manually added children, improving accuracy when managing assemblies
