Uploading and Moving Files in Bild

Uploading files to the desktop application can be done via your local directory that you have synced to Bild. Simply copy and paste the files directly to the local folder you want the files to exist in and upload these to Bild through the following steps

Uploading Files to Bild

1. Navigate to the files you need to upload to Bild and copy these from the location they currently exist in

2. Navigate to your local folder via windows explorer selecting the folder you want to upload these files into

3. You'll see these files populate in Bild with the blue New tag. To upload these into Bild click the Blue Push New Files icon highlighted below. You can also right click an individual file and push new file to upload files individually

4. In the upload files window click upload

5. You'll now see the Local tag was applied to these files. This indicates that the file exists in both Bild and your local folder. Files will then process into Bild, there are three steps to processing, first the metadata of the file processes then the parent child relationships of the file then the rendering and thumbnails of the file gets processed

Moving Files in Bild

It's best practice to move files directly in Bild as opposed to moving files from your local folder so duplicate files aren't created

1.Select multiple or an individual file

2.Right Click and select File Actions>Move Files

3. Double click the folder you want to move the files to

4. Enter the security code displayed in the box 'confirm' and click Move here

5. You'll see the moved files in their new location
