Engineering Change Order (ECO) Overview

Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) are crucial for managing and tracking all file changes, approvals, change descriptions, etc. leading up to a product release. While checking files in and out helps monitor incremental changes, releasing files through an ECO allows for managing major releases and up-revisioning, ensuring teams stay organized and aligned. Closing and releasing an ECO not only finalizes these changes and up-revs your files but also ensures locked historical data.

  1. In the left menu dock, click on the "ECOs & Revs" icon

  2. Click the "+ New" button

  3. Choose the file(s) you want to include in the ECO
*Note: You can add child files on the next page

  4. Give your ECO a title and description
