SolidWorks Add-In

Downloading the Add-In

You can download the latest Bild SolidWorks Add-In by clicking on the link below

[Pre-requisite] Setting up your Bild Account

Before you can start using the add-in, you need to enable the Bild setting to allow the Bild File ID to be written into your SolidWorks designs. To enable this setting, an Admin needs to go to their company settings -> "File Settings" -> select the "Write Bild File ID" setting

Note: after turning on this setting newly added files will immediately go to outdated as the file will get updated with the Bild File ID as a property. Teams will need to fetch the update before using the Add-In on the design

For files already in the vault, they need to be reprocessed to have the Bild File ID written in as a property. This can be done by checking the file out, and then checking it back in. The file will then go outdated and the user will need to fetch the update before using the Add-In on the design

πŸ’‘ Access to "File Settings" is limited to admins. Please reach out to your account admin to enable this setting.
