Managing Change Orders Across Bild and Propel

First you need to have a change candidate already created. If you already have a Bild change candidate created, you can skip this section.

Creating a Bild Change Candidate

  1. Click on the ECOs and Revs icon tab on the left

  2. Click on the + New button

  3. Select the design files you want to be included in the Change Candidate

  4. Click on Next

  5. Give the Change Candidate a Name and optional Description.

    Press Shift + O
  6. Click on Next

  7. A list of design files part of the change candidate will popup. You can click into each design to then select or unselect different configurations (each configuration would be a different item in Propel).

  8. Click on Create

  9. If there are is no associated Propel item for a design file's configuration, the next popup will display those. Click on OK.

Helpful Tip: If you select just an assembly or multiple assemblies, you can automatically add children in a later screen.

Creating a Propel Change Order within Bild and linking to it

  1. When you are in a Bild Change Order, navigate to the Integrations section and click on "Create"

  2. A popup will appear to select a category of Change order, click on the dropdown and select the type of Change Order you want to create

  4. The Change Order will be created in Propel, and the Bild Change Order will be linked to it. The Bild Change Order ID will be updated with the Propel Change Order ID.

Note: Linking to a Propel Change Order will NOT add the design files' respective Propel items to the affected items list in the Propel Change order.

Linking a Bild Change Order to an existing Propel Change Order

  1. When you are in a Bild Change Order, navigate to the Integrations section and click on Link icon

  2. Select the existing Propel Change order that you want to link to

  4. The Bild Change Order will be linked to it, and the Bild Change Order ID will be updated with the Propel Change Order ID.

Note: Linking to a Propel Change Order will NOT add the design files' respective Propel items to the affected items list in the Propel Change order.

Pushing designs to a Propel Change Order

  1. When you are in a Bild Change Order, navigate to the Integrations section and click on Push icon. Note: you can only Push if the Bild Change order is linked to a Propel Change order.

  2. Click on Confirm in the popup

  3. The Bild Change Order will sync to the Propel Change order. During a sync:

    1. All design files within the Bild Change order will be synced to their respective Propel items.

    2. The design files' respective Propel items will get added to the affected items list in the Propel Change order.

  4. Navigate to the Propel Change Order by click on the View icon

  5. You will see the Propel items under the affected items list of the Propel Change Order

  6. Note: the design files under the Bild Change Order will now have a Revision status of "Propel - In Review" and will not be able to be checked out.

Adding additional designs to an open Propel Change Order

At any time, either before or after linking/syncing to a Propel Change Order, you can add design files to the Change Order. However, once the Change order is released, you cannot do this.

  1. When you are in a Bild Change Order, click on the Add Files button at the top right.

  2. Select files that you want to add to the Bild Change Order. Note that you cannot add files that are already part of another active Change Order

  4. A list of design files part of the change candidate will popup. You can click into each design to then select or unselect different configurations (each configuration would be a different item in Propel).

Removing designs from a Propel Change Order

At any time, either before or after linking/syncing to a Propel Change Order, you can remove design files from the Change Order. However, once the Change order is released, you cannot do this.

  1. Scroll down to the list of design files, and find the one you want to remove. To the right of the design file, click on the Delete icon

  2. Type out the name of the file and then click on Delete

  3. The design file will be removed from the Change Order.

Unlinking a Bild Change Order to a Propel Change Order

  1. When you are in a Bild Change Order, navigate to the integrations section and click on the unlink icon.
