Bild's shared links feature enables users to easily share files and their information with external guests directly via Bild. Users can choose to send version-specific or live links depending on their needs and grant access for guests to view files in the viewer, access metadata, and download the file.
Creating Version-Specific Links
Bild enables you to share Version Links within the information drawer, these links will be version-specific and can be viewed/accessed by anyone who has the link. You can always regenerate or remove a link entirely - this will disable the initial link.
Single-click on the file that you'd like to generate a version link for
Once the information drawer is open, scroll down to the Share This Version section
Click the Create Version Link button
This will create a link thank you can copy by selecting the copy icon and share with external guests
💡 Users with access to this link will be able to view the file via the online viewer, download the file, and see the metadata - this will only apply to the specific version you created the link for.
Regenerate/Remove Version-Specific Links
If external users no longer need access to shared files and you would like to generate a new link or remove a shared link entirely, you can do so within Bild. Doing this will invalidate the disable the previous link.
Single-click on the file that you'd like to regenerate/remove a link for
Once the file information drawer is open, scroll down to the Share This Version section
Choose one of the following options:
Click the refresh icon: This will create a new link for this version and disable the previous link
Click the x icon: This removes the link for this version and disables the previous link
Creating Live Links
Live links enable you to share live versions of file's this means that users with access to this link will always automatically have access to the latest version of that file - no need to generate new links to every new version.
Navigate to your project files dashboard
Click the checkboxes of all the files you'd like to generate links for
Clicking on multiple files will generate one link for all these files
3. Select the More Action drop-down button on the upper right-hand corner
4. Click on the Share Live Files option
5. Name the batch of files you'd like to share
6. Click the Generate Link button - this will generate a link you can copy and send to external guests
To access the link you can open the Shared Links page and navigate to the files you'd like to access

Once the shared link page is open, navigate to the live link you'd like to make changes to
